Red Bull Advanced Technologies (RBAT) is a powerhouse of innovation continually working on some of the most ground-breaking projects across land, sea and air. Our portfolio of projects is second to none. It is not just our ground breaking RB17 Hypercar or Red Bull commissioned submarine, we work alongside the KTM Moto GP Team and collaborate with Alinghi Red Bull Racing in their Americas Cup campaign, utilising Formula One expertise and precision to enhance the AC75 Racing Yacht and revolutionise Moto GP Aerodynamics.
Red Bull Advanced Technologies are constantly elevating performance to new heights, and the recently announced RB17 two-seat Hypercar is set to be the ultimate on-track driving experience pushing design and technical boundaries far beyond what has previously been imagined. We now have an exciting opportunity to be part of our expanding, Structural Analysis Department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a NVH Structure Analyst who is committed to designing lowest-mass solutions, in accordance with pre-determined pass/fail criteria, as well as being passionate about high-performance engineering.
The role:
- Carry out first-stage sizing calculations to enable early decision making.
- To construct detailed FEA NVH models, featuring composites laminates and high-performance metals.
- Perform NVH vibration testing and validation at component and vehicle level.
- To apply experience of modelling techniques, including static, modal, buckling and vibration analysis by means of linear and non-linear solvers, following RBAT’s rules and procedures.
- To be familiar with vibration fatigue failure modes and experienced in carrying out service life calculations and testing.
- To take ownership of assigned projects: requesting data and consulting with Design Engineers where required to carry out each analysis efficiently, and to escalate where issues and/or risks present themselves.
- To supplement FEA studies with hand calculations and engineering reasoning to explain and validate FEA results.
