GMNA FP&A is responsible for the consolidation of financial performance across the US, Canada and Mexico. Finance Analysts have responsibility for building relationships with, and developing business intuition for, assigned business functions. The analyst must ensure data integrity in the consolidation process as well as translate detailed data into a broader view to communicate how operations drive the business and are impacted by the economic environment. This role provides extensive exposure to GMNA senior leadership as well all functional business units.
Responsibilities
- US Net Price Key Contact
- Responsible for accurate consolidation of monthly US revenue forecasts
- Identify and communicate the drivers to changes in price and incentives
- Proactively keep business partners informed of regional changes which may impact brands
- Support brand allocations and forecast variances to ensure alignment of brand and regional reporting
- Raise awareness to risks and opportunities that may affect brand and regional performance
- Fixed Cost Consolidator
- Consolidate controllable fixed costs from US, Mexico, and Canada as well as Customer Care and Aftersales and GM Energy business partners
- Work proactively to identify and resolve data discrepancies as well as variances to the forecast
- Collaborate with Corporate FP&A to ensure alignment
- Maintain and update Retrieve and other Excel templates to support validation and documentation for variance analysis
- Work with business units and the systems team to resolve unexpected variances
- Lead Budget and Forecast Variance Analysis, Support YOY Financial Analysis
- Volume Actuals Reporting
- Compile volume actual data and summarize by operational driver
- Compare actual volume to forecast and define the storyline for variances
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and analysis
- Identify and implement automation process improvements

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s with a major in finance, accounting, business, economics or related
- 3+ years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
- High level of analytical ability, problem solving capability, and attention to detail
- Ability to draw conclusions from incomplete or ambiguous data
- Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints (Fast/Responsive)
- Ability to clearly communicate (verbally and in writing) the financial implications of different incentive programs, including communication to key stakeholders and senior leadership
- Strength in interpersonal skills to work effectively on cross-functional teams
- Highly proficient personal computer skills especially Microsoft Excel
Location: Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the - Global HQ Warren Mi three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]
