The Supply Chain Cost Analyst plays a key role in supporting cost transparency and operational efficiency across the manufacturing supply chain. This role intentionally separates tactical costing execution from analytical insight and business partnership strengthening costing accuracy, supporting ERP modernization, and building a talent pipeline for future roles.
What you'll do
The Cost Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of product costing within the U.S. Supply Chain Finance function. This role focuses on tactical costing execution, data accuracy, and system maintenance, enabling the Manager, Supply Chain Finance to focus on analytics, margin insights, and business partnership.
- Support internal stakeholders with ad hoc costing reviews or inquiries.
- Provide costing inputs needed for operational decision-making.
- Partner with Mfg, R&D, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to support timely and accurate product costing.
- Document costing procedures, workflows, and system changes.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in cost records, system postings, and material master data.
- Assist in the transition from ECC to S/4HANA, including testing, data validation, and costing documentation.
- Validate and maintain transactional costing data to ensure system integrity.
- Ensure costing accuracy across SAP material master data and system records.
- Perform costing for new items, new formulas, and new packaging formats.
- Execute standard cost runs, cost corrections, and material cost updates.
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- 1-3 years experience in related industry and/or public accounting with responsibilities similar to those listed above.
- Computer proficiency required including Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP formulas, create/manipulate tables, etc.).
- SAP proficiency is a plus.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must have a flexible schedule to accomodate monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines.
