About This Role
Atlassian Williams Racing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Material Handler to join our team in Grove on a fixed-term contract basis for 6 months.
Overview:
As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in the efficient and effective movement of goods, supplies, and equipment within our facility. You will be responsible for ensuring that all materials are handled, stored, and dispatched in a safe and timely manner, while also maintaining accurate records and complying with company procedures and policies.
- Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and recorded in our inventory management system.
- Pick and dispatch outgoing goods, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all items are properly packaged and labeled, and that all relevant documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory movements, including receipts, issues, and transfers, using our inventory management system.
- Ensure that all materials are handled, stored, and dispatched in a safe and timely manner, while also maintaining a high level of housekeeping and organization within the warehouse and storage areas.
- Comply with all company procedures and policies, including those related to health and safety, quality, and environmental management.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Production, Logistics, and Quality, to ensure that all materials are delivered to the correct location in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, including lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives, to identify opportunities for improving processes and reducing waste.
- Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods of time.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with inventory management systems.
- Ability to work flexibly, including overtime and weekends, as required.
