We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Pattern Shop Machinist to join our team at our facility in Grove, working nights.
About the Role:
As a Pattern Shop Machinist, you will be responsible for the manufacture of high-quality patterns and tooling to support the production of composite components. You will work closely with the Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure that all patterns and tooling are produced to the required specification and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture of high-quality patterns and tooling to support the production of composite components
- Work closely with the Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure that all patterns and tooling are produced to the required specification and quality standards
- Operate a range of machine tools, including CNC milling machines, grinders, and lathes
- Use a variety of materials, including metals, woods, and plastics
- Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, following all relevant safety procedures and protocols
- Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail in all work undertaken
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a machinist, preferably in a pattern making or tooling environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficient in the use of a range of machine tools, including CNC milling machines, grinders, and lathes
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a high level of attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including nights and weekends as required
