About This Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Model Maker to join our team at our facility in Grove, working nights. As a Model Maker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality models and prototypes to support the design and development of our Formula 1 cars.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in model making, with experience of working with a variety of materials and techniques. You will be able to work accurately and efficiently, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities will include:
- Creating high-quality models and prototypes to support the design and development of our Formula 1 cars
- Working with a variety of materials, including woods, metals, and composites
- Using a range of techniques, including CNC machining, manual machining, and hand finishing
- Collaborating with the design and engineering teams to ensure that models and prototypes meet the required specifications and standards
- Working to tight deadlines and prioritizing tasks to ensure that projects are completed on time
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to all relevant health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Experience of working as a model maker, with a strong background in creating high-quality models and prototypes
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a high level of attention to detail
- Strong understanding of a variety of materials and techniques, including woods, metals, and composites
- Experience of using CNC machining, manual machining, and hand finishing techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
- Commitment to delivering high-quality results, and to working to tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
