The Role
GM’s Infrastructure Engineering organization seeks a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the strategy, planning, reporting, and execution of cloud adoption programs across multiple teams.
In this role, you will work closely with developer teams to understand their technical requirements, then coordinate with infrastructure teams to map those requirements to cloud architectures deployed reliably and at scale. This role is essential in managing complex service migrations, assessing how decisions affect capacity, and balancing trade-offs between competing priorities.
You will also collaborate with Cloud FinOps, Capacity and Performance Engineering, and a variety of platform teams to build opinionated cloud architectures, vehicle services, and developer platforms.
We are seeking a TPM who demonstrates strength in three key areas:
What You'll Do
-
Drive the execution of cloud adoption programs, overseeing the migration of products and services from on-premises environments to Azure, GCP, and AWS platforms.
-
Serve as the primary point of contact for highly visible, cross-functional workstreams by managing and communicating the status of teams, initiatives, and objectives to all stakeholders, including senior management and executives
-
Collaborate with product, program, and engineering management to track progress towards goals, ensure schedules are met, and celebrate wins
-
Leverage an understanding of software development and cloud architectures to collaborate closely with engineering teams, supporting the transition of prototypes and legacy systems into robust, cloud deliverables.
