Hendrick Motorsports, a championship-winning NASCAR operation, is seeking a highly motivated Engine Clean-up Technician to join the team.As a crucial member of our operations, this role involves the meticulous cleaning and preparation of engine components to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Our technicians play a vital role in supporting our engine programs by ensuring that all parts are clean and ready for reuse or repair. You will be responsible for using a variety of cleaning techniques and equipment, including ultrasonic cleaners and pressure washers, to remove oil, dirt, and grime from engine parts. Additionally, you will need to document the cleaning process and communicate effectively with team members to identify any damaged components that may require further attention. Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:
Responsible for shop and break room clean-up, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Remove grease build-up, corrosion products, etc., as well as prepare parts for the next overhaul step using various cleaning compounds and chemical solutions, spray guns, brushes, etc.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Other Requirements: Basic math, verbal, writing and reasoning skills required. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule as needed. Must be a team player and effectively utilize strong communication skills with others in the department and organization. Intermediate mechanical and technical aptitude desired. Technical training in automotive manufacturing a plus.
