ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Buyer to take ownership of sourcing strategies, supplier relationships and commercial performance.
In this role, you will operate at the intersection of strategy, execution and supplier management, playing a key part in driving competitiveness, quality and value creation across the supply base. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Finance and Program teams, while contributing to long‑term Commodity and Supply Chain strategies.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Define and lead the Commodity Strategy for your perimeter, contributing to Strategy Functional Groups (SFG / COMMS).
- Prepare and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) in line with sourcing strategies and approved bidlists.
- Evaluate suppliers and present sourcing recommendations during decision and sourcing table meetings.
- Negotiate and formalize Purchase Agreements, ensuring alignment with commercial, technical and legal requirements.
- Ensure effective contract execution, covering quality, logistics, development performance, and capacity readiness.
- Manage and escalate supplier topics related to quality, logistics and obsolescence, when required.
- Lead or support resourcing activities, aligned with divisional and commodity objectives.
- Drive purchasing performance, leveraging cost analysis, value optimization initiatives, raw material indexation and continuous improvement levers.
- Prepare and lead business reviews with suppliers, ensuring transparency and performance tracking.
- Manage purchasing-related administrative activities, including purchase orders, amendments and reporting.
KEY DELIVERABLES
- Supplier recommendations aligned with strategy, timing and cost targets
- Signed Purchase Agreements and applicable contractual terms
- Achievement of economic performance targets, including Value Optimization (VO)
- Resourcing decisions in line with Commodity and Division objectives
- Quality, logistics and Vehicle Off Road (VOR) performance aligned with targets
- Accurate reporting and business documentation related to the role
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in Procurement or Strategic Purchasing
- Fluent in English (C1)
- Strong capability in cost analysis and negotiation
- Experience managing supplier relationships in complex environments
- Solid understanding of automotive products and technologies
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- A proactive, results‑driven mindset with the ability to work autonomously
- Strong analytical, communication and synthesis
OFFER
- Salary range: from €43.000 to €52.000, that will be defined depending on the level of adherence of the candidate to the job requirements
- Collective Agreement: In accordance with the provisions of the Specific Collective Labour Agreement (CCSL – CNEL code: CO10), and in particular with regard to the classification within the third professional area.
