Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Flint Assembly on a full-time basis.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
- Ability to understand and assess complex supply chain issues and lead teams in a cross-functional environment to successfully resolve issues minimizing impacts to vehicle production. This position will support a combination of 2nd and 3rd shift.
- Execute deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives.
- Communicate to all levels of organization, within supply chain, as well as other functions within the plant, and externally with 3rd party partners, suppliers, and carriers.
- Oversee Ryder team on off-shifts for managing inbound material – supplier shortages, carrier issues, premium transportation approvals - escalation of exceptions as required.
- Assess supplier schedules and impact on vehicle assembly production
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop creative solutions
- Support Command Center calls for supplier shortages.
- Analyze metrics supporting supplier critical issues or sufficiency plan resolution.
- Perform various Material Flow Coordinator (MFC) roles – inventory and data integrity, problem solving/ investigation.
- Oversee 3rd party/ VAA activities on off-shifts
- Oversee Engineering change/ breakpoint planning/ execution on off-shifts.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to summarize critical issues with resolutions and communicate to leadership.
- Basic knowledge of Global Enterprise Production Information Control System (GEPICS) to run reports, hold or set-out/ set-in jobs, adjust breakpoints, update broadcast codes.
- Strong Knowledge of Material Global Optimization (MGO) – inventory and scheduling screens.
- Knowledge of other supply chain systems – Production Pull System (PPS), Electronic Pull System (EPS), Visual & Buffer Inventory Management System (VBIMS).
- Ability to be flexible and at times work extended and non-core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.
- This position will work on, and support the off shifts.Supporting a portion of 2nd and 3rd shift.
