Sports car manufacturing has a long tradition in Stuttgart. Sports car history has been written in Zuffenhausen for 75 years. The core tasks of the Paint Shop Brand Planning department include:
Planning new vehicle projects with regard to corrosion protection-compliant vehicle construction and paintability of the body
Process planning and procurement of resources (plant engineering) for the integration of new derivatives (vehicles) into production/production lines
Ensuring manufacturability in the product development process with interfaces to development and production
Color development
Innovation projects for process optimization/sustainability
During your internship, you will gain comprehensive insights into the Porsche working world and, depending on the focus of your studies and personal interests, support us in the following projects and activities:
Exciting tasks in the planning process with a focus on product/process/resources
Manufacturing and production planning for new vehicles from the early phase of the product development process through to the ramp-up of production in the paint shop
Supporting pre-series production and the ramp-up phase of new vehicles
Supporting the concept and design phases of conveyor and process engineering system modifications, plant expansions, and New plant construction
Support for the commissioning of new production and testing facilities
Coordination, implementation, and evaluation of paint shop tests for quality assurance after plant upgrades or the integration of new systems
Support in the expansion of the digitalization strategy in production planning (3D layout, virtual validation, digital twin, smart factory, etc.)
Project planning and organization at the Zuffenhausen site
Implementation of sub-projects independently and participation in optimization workshops
Support for color development
Furthermore, during the internship, there is the opportunity to network with other interns in production-related areas from the areas of body construction, final assembly, engine and powertrain construction.
