We are looking to recruit a Jigs and Fixtures Designer, working within our Jig and Fixtures Department to scope, plan, design and release jigs and fixtures to suitable standards, costs and timescales to meet development and production plans laid out by the business.
As a Jigs and Fixtures Designer you will be:
- Machining, Bonding
- Welding Jigs
- Assembly Fixtures
- Inspection Fixtures
- P&T Test Equipment and Rigs
- Trackside Repair and Testing Fixtures
- FIA Testing Equipment
In conjunction with the Design Groups and End Users, produce jigs and fixtures, to the highest standard whilst working within the, ‘Fit, Form and Function’ methodology.
Ensuring compliance to required delivery dates and report any deviance and the associated causes.
Suppling any build instructions that may be required for the Jigs and Fixtures designed.
Our ideal candidate is someone who has:
Prior experience in a motorsport environment.
Degree in an Engineering related subject or relevant transferable experience.
Has a passion for engineering, innovation and detailed design work.
A working knowledge of NX and Teamcenter is desirable, but training can be given.
A working knowledge of GD&T is desirable, but training can be given.
An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.
A creative, proactive approach to problem-solving, along with good attention to detail.
