The Calibration Engineer supports calibration and optimization activities for vehicle systems (e.g., powertrain, ADAS, chassis, E/E, etc.) with a focus on internal combustion engines (ICE) to meet regulatory requirements and customer needs. The role involves supporting planning, execution, and evaluation of calibration functions in various environments (e.g., test tracks, test benches, software-in-the-loop environments).
Responsibilities:
- Support calibration of functions for various vehicle systems (powertrain, ADAS, chassis, E/E, etc.)
- Support calibration and optimization of parameters related to internal combustion engines (ICE)
- Support planning, execution, and evaluation of calibration activities in various environments
- Define calibration parameters and results
- Present results to customers
- Develop innovative methods and tools for calibration activities
- Support project managers and logistics teams in planning calibration activities
- Participate in tests and meetings with customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or related fields
- Initial experience in applying and validating vehicle system functions
- Knowledge of internal combustion engine fundamentals
- Basic understanding of various vehicle systems (powertrain, ADAS, chassis, E/E, etc.) with a focus on powertrain systems based on internal combustion engines
- Good communication skills, teamwork spirit, and interest in working in international teams
- Availability for travel
- Valid driver's license for vehicles; licenses for heavy goods vehicles and/or trailers are an advantage
- Good knowledge of the English language (good-to-advanced level)
