The Software & Controls Engineer develops independent control architectures, algorithms, electronic components, and system integration in the areas of requirement engineering, software architecture definition, algorithm development and testing, and software integration and validation, taking technical decisions on how to perform activities.
Responsibilities:
Define and develop system requirements, architectures, and test concepts for control systems, functions, and electronics Develop control algorithms, electronic components, electrical schemes, and system designs, including initial calibration datasets Perform system integration, testing, and validation, including rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) testing Develop embedded software for control systems, including requirement engineering and software architecture definition Integrate software into electronic control units (ECUs) and provide commissioning and support activities at the customer site Develop innovative algorithms for future mobility, create and update software applications, and optimise processes and development tools
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, mechatronics, automotive engineering, or related fields Previous professional experience in an industrial setting Experience and knowledge of development processes (e.g., PTE Controls and Systems Engineering Process) Ability to work independently and manage complex activities Knowledge of standards such as ASPICE and ISO 26262 and domain-specific competences (e.g., powertrain, vehicle) Experience with automotive development tools Experience with quality management standards and model-based or agile development approaches Programming skills (Matlab/Simulink, ANSI-C, C++, C#, Python) Good command of the English language Excellent communication, teamwork, analysis, and presentation skills Good ability to coordinate activities and results, both internally and towards the customer Availability for business trips up to a maximum of 10% per year In accordance with project needs, additional availability for business trips may be required
