Develop Controls Architectures, Algorithms, Electronics and the related System Integration in the areas of requirement engineering, software architecture definition, development and testing of control algorithms as well as software integration and testing.
As a SW & Controls Engineer, you will define and develop system requirements, architecture, and test concepts for controls, functions, and electronics. You will develop control algorithms, electronic components, schematics, and system designs, including initial calibration datasets. You will perform system integration, testing, and validation, including rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
You will develop embedded software for embedded control, including requirement engineering and software architecture. You will integrate software into electronic hardware control units and provide commissioning and support at customer locations. You will develop innovative algorithms for future mobility, create and update software applications, and optimize development processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and develop system requirements, architecture, and test concepts for controls, functions, and electronics
- Develop control algorithms, electronic components, schematics, and system designs, including initial calibration datasets

- Develop embedded software for embedded control, including requirement engineering and software architecture

Requirements:
- Completed technical studies in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering or similar
- Previous professional and industry experience
- Professional experience and knowledge of development processes (e.g., PTE Controls and Systems Engineering Process)
- Ability to work independently and handle more complex tasks
- Knowledge of standards such as ASPICE and ISO26262, and domain-specific knowledge (e.g., Powertrain, Vehicle)
- Experience with automotive development tools
- Experience in quality management standards and model-based/agile development approaches
- Programming skills in environments like Matlab Simulink, ANSI-C, C++, C#, Python
- English language knowledge (good to advanced)
- Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and presentation skills, with good English proficiency
- Good capability to coordinate work content and results internally and externally
- Willingness to travel up to a maximum of 10 percent (per year)
- Depending on project situation, longer travelling times may be required.
