The Calibration Engineer assists in the calibration and optimization of control units for vehicle systems, with a specific focus on internal combustion engine (ICE) systems, to meet legal requirements and customer demands.
This job includes supporting the planning, execution, and evaluation of calibration functions in various calibration environments.
Responsibilities: Support in the calibration of control unit functions of different vehicle systems (powertrain, ADAS, chassis, E/E, etc.) Assist in the calibration and optimization of ICE-related parameters Support in the planning, execution, and evaluation of calibration functions in different environments Support in documenting calibration parameters and measurement results Support in presenting results to the customer Support in developing innovative methods and tools for calibration tasks Support the project manager and logistics in planning calibration activities Participation in tests and customer appointments
Requirements: Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or similar fields Initial experience in the application and validation of control unit functions Knowledge of internal combustion engine fundamentals Basic understanding of different vehicle systems (powertrain, ADAS, chassis, E/E, etc.) with specific interest or exposure to ICE-based powertrain systems Communication skills and team spirit, and interest in working in international teams Willingness to travel Driver’s license for cars, additional licenses for trucks and/or trailers are advantageous English language knowledge (good to advanced)
