Work Arrangement :This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.
What You'll Do

Develop and validate NC programs using CAM software (e.g., Tebis V4, UGNX CAM,).

Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T to create accurate tool paths.

Optimize machining strategies for cycle time, tool life, and surface finish.

Collaborate with die designers and simulation engineers to ensure manufacturability.

Support die buyoff and troubleshooting during trials and production.

Maintain documentation for NC programs, revisions, and process changes.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and process standards

Creation of 3D Die Designs as per GM Die Design Standards, Press and Panel loading mechanism.

Perform Die Design with minimum support and collaborate with various team members.

Evaluate Design by using design check sheet and lesson learnt and identify areas of improvement and correction to achieve quality targets.

Able to analyze work content, deliverable, timeline and should have clear understanding in meeting design deliverable as per timelines and quality.

Capture and share lessons learned and actively look for continuous improvement and innovation opportunities.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelors’ Engg Degree (Mech/Auto/Prod) with preferably Tool and Die Making PG
-
5-10 Years of experience in Automotive Sheet metal Stamping Die Design domain and NC experience
-
Exposure to tool room and press shop activities is added advantage
-
Work experience on Die design of core and structural panels.

Work Experience in NX Solid and Surface modeling.

Knowledge of Dies Design for Transfer, cross bar, and Tandem press lines.

Good Understanding of Die design standards and Manufacturing Process.

Good Understanding of Die shop activities like – Pattern making, CNC and Conventional Machining, Assembly, Tryout, and production practices.
