JOB PURPOSE
This is the second level position for the Accessory Supply Specialist Family.
This position supports maintain the highest levels of service and parts availability for Honda and Acura Genuine Accessories by maintaining on-time delivery, shipment integrity, maximizing service level while minimizing Accessory Backorders. Additionally, associates are members of the SED Development team (E) and are responsible for achieving Accessory on-time sales for new model launches.
At this level, specialists have gained a strong knowledge of the supplier network and internal Honda operations. Specialists will continue to be responsible for meeting on-time delivery, backorder, DTR and Service level targets through direct involvement with the Accessory Supplier Base. This level supply specialist is responsible for suppliers and products of moderate to high complexity (parts and vendors have higher visibility and supply levels may have serious financial consequences) Specialists at this level will be assigned to Accessory Vehicle Development SED Teams as the E-PL (Leading Mass Production Readiness). Specialists at this level have moderate to high knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and general accessory development flow. Vehicle mix is composed of Low to Moderate complexity.

Backorder Prevention/Resolution & Service Level
Development & SED Coordination
Accessory Mass Production Scheduling and Capacity Validation
Coordination of Domestic & Import Model Launch Inventory Requirements
Part Maturation Coordination
SE & SED Evaluation Prep & Presentation to AHM & HAA Executive Management
Coordination with AHM Deployment & Auto Accessory Marketing for distribution of Model Introduction Requirements
New Model Parts Availability
Lead Time Reduction and EDI implementation
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics preferred
Equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
Four to six years experience in inventory control, procurement and expediting, or production control, or related field
Proficiency in MS Suite – Excel, Access, Power Point, Word
Basic understanding of SED Development Process
Basic ability to read an engineering drawing and BOM
