JOB DESCRIPTION
The Top Hat Quality Manager (THQM) is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of new products from the EHE perspective, during the development phase. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to integrate quality standards into the product lifecycle from initial project milestones to its first months after commercial launch. THQM ensures that new products meet customer expectations, while mitigating overall risks.
MAIN MISSION
- Deliver and consolidate EE Quality, contributing strongly to Quality issue resolution and robust Vehicle launches.
- Improve Quality Standard, Quality Design Process and grant expected application
- Improve Detection Plan and challenge validation test
- Design Assessment (DA): Lead and build the EHE DA for every milestone, facilitating the proper achievement of all requirements for each milestone.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk analysis to identify potential quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Testing and Validation: Oversee and facilitate the execution of testing activities and its results, including engineering testing, validation, and reliability assessments, to ensure excellent market results.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data, identifying trends during its first months after commercial launch, and implementing fast and robust corrective actions.
MAIN ACTIVITIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze “customer claim”
- Technical detail deep dive, with approach based on facts and figures, stimulating the rigorous problem solving approach
- Drive the most effective and efficient technical solution, with the most optimized cost repair cycle
- Guarantee a robust action plan, without deviations
- Be always align with TOP HAT Quality Manager (Quality status, Issue tracking, Deliverables achievement)
- Grant Lesson Learned and Best Practice definition / improvement / application
- Define a robust standard for Validation
- Improve and assess the following Q Processes: DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, Risk Management
- Project review animations
REQUIREMENTS
- EE technical automotive background with a strong knowledge of wiring harness and connectors (design 2D/3D, industrialization, manufacturing)
- EE or quality engineer
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package
- Ability to work using different STLA tools: PLM, Quantic, Lesson Learned, Bulletin, Team Center, Enovia
- Team working skill

Qualifications and main competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or its related fields. 5+ years of experience in quality or engineering management within the automotive industry, with at least 3 years focused on new product development.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA); Strong understanding of automotive development processes and lifecycle management;
- Experience with root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Six Sigma). Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
