MISSION
The Commercial Controller plays a key role in providing financial leadership to support strategic and operational decisions. This role ensures the integrity of financial performance across markets by actively participating in pricing, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial decision-making processes. Acting as a business partner to Sales, Product Planning, and Marketing teams, the Commercial Controller contributes to value creation and long-term profitability, while aligning with global financial policies and practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Contribute to the Long-Range Planning (LRP) process, with focus on pricing, product mix, and incentive structures.
- Implement global finance guidelines, processes, and procedures within the region of responsibility.
- Monitor and analyze sales volume trends across markets, models, engines, and trims.
- Collaborate with Product Planning to track pricing and discount evolution compared to competitors.
- Track and report model margin trends by market.
- Participate in the Commercial Policy and Pricing approval processes, including for new model launches.
- Support decision-making on monthly and quarterly promotional plans and fleet deals.
- Monitor regional selling and marketing expenditures.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities for the region.
- Participate in monthly financial closing and analyze key business metrics to inform leadership decisions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 4 years of experience in financial controlling, preferably within the automotive or consumer goods industry.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Solid understanding of commercial levers such as pricing, margin analysis, product mix, and incentive programs.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Proficiency in financial tools and systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, advanced Excel skills).
- Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional and matrixed environments.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an asset.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
