JOB TITLE: Key Account Manager
REPORTS TO: Key Account Director
JOB PURPOSE: Build and maintain a strong relationship with the client. Be the lead point of contact for all client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure requirements and deadlines for the client are met. Ensure proper execution of strategy to increase units, net sales, and share of account.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Meet targets on unit sales, mix and profit objectives
- Develop and implement incentives and programs
- Increase penetration (share of account)
- Represent the companyaccording to corporate compliance policies when dealingwith all Pirelli stakeholders
- Efficiently manage corporate expenditures
- Efficiently manage budgets for Promotions, Point-of-Sale Materials, and Marketing activities for account
- Provide and monitor detailed monthly forecasts
- Determine market/account needs and opportunities
- Minimize and manage channel and market conflict
- Be the liaison between customer and all Pirelli departments to ensure the needs of all
Pirelli stakeholders are met
- When applicable, advise distributors on policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of business
- Emphasize tread pattern features based on analyses of customers' needs, technical knowledge of the tread pattern capabilities and limitations, and the environment in which the tire will be used
- Initiate seasonal sales and marketing campaigns in order to meet sales expectations
- Prepare sales presentations and proposals that explain tire specifications and applications
- Effectively manage multi-channel order process
- Negotiate contracts with client and establish timeline of performance
- Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members and stakeholders
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Able to demonstrate success and experience managing major accounts customers and large contracts
- Appreciates need for consistency within company's branding and marketing mix
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, etc
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English/French)
- Strong interpersonal and entrepreneurial skills
- Strong self-motivational skills and ability to work independently
- Experience in retail and/or tire or automotive industries are a definitive asset
- Ideally hold a 3 year Business Administration BA, Engineering
- Experience in customer management from a sales and/or technical point of view
