Tasks
Increasing demands and increasing system complexity of BEVs pose new challenges to the development methodology of thermal systems and require continuous development. The multitude of possible technical solutions for various issues, particularly during the conceptual design of thermal systems, is the subject of current research and investigation. This work will examine the potential of automating 1D CFD modeling and simulation and provide recommendations for future development processes. To this end, suitable automation components will first be identified through literature research and system analysis, appropriate comparisons will be made, and potential potential will be examined. The identified solution will then be integrated into an existing model environment and tested using exemplary use cases. Based on the results, a cost-benefit and efficiency analysis will be conducted, and the achievable potential will be identified. Furthermore, based on the results and experience, the early phase of the development process will be analyzed and further attractive use cases for future automation will be identified. Finally, a documentation will be provided.
Research tasks for this work:
Research and selection of a suitable methodology for identifying automation potential
Analysis of existing development processes and environments
Development and integration of exemplary automation solutions based on selected use cases
Effectiveness and efficiency analysis as well as identification of future use cases
