Tasks
Ferry Porsche said over 50 years ago:
"We place more value on building particularly good vehicles than on building a particularly large number."
To this day, this sentence describes what Porsche means by the term "customization," namely the fulfillment of special and personalized customer wishes – before, during, and after the purchase of their dream vehicle. In the Customization & Classic division, customer dreams are conceived and realized with great attention to detail, regardless of the vehicle's year of manufacture. The accompanying offering is based on the following sub-brands, thereby reinforcing Porsche's luxury positioning:
Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur: "Create.Personal.Style"
Porsche Tequipment: "Equipped for Life"
Porsche Classic: "Caretakers of Dreams"
The customizable product categories, ranging from accessories, spare parts, options, color of choice, factory restorations and limited-edition vehicle projects (e.g., 911 Sport Classic) to custom-made vehicles and truly one-off special requests, are just a small part of our portfolio. The slogan "You dream it. We build it" describes the special request program, which is based on the three sub-brands mentioned above and offers customers additional facets of this: the personalization of special material combinations in the interior, high-quality designer paint finishes on the body and wheels, and even the design and development of individual components. Unusual fabrics outside of the existing range and custom leather upholstery options are available or facilitated. In addition to meticulous details, completely new, never-before-seen vehicle concepts and customized modifications to the vehicle body are possible.
All processes are characterized by high technical expertise and strong sales competence, with the goal of realizing individual customer requests for maximum contribution to the luxury positioning and honing of the Porsche brand while simultaneously maintaining entrepreneurial profitability.
The teams in the Customization & Classic department are responsible for the entire product development process, starting with the idea and product management, through technical evaluation and product development, to production, communication, market launch, and world premiere.
