MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To undertake the research & development of new products within Toray Advanced Composites Ltd in line with current product development objectives
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Compliance with safety rules and policies
• Ensure the AS 9001, BS EN ISO 14001, BS EN ISO 45001 are complied with in all areas of responsibility.
• To identify potential technological improvements and areas of potential R&D in line with the company’s business strategy and market plan e.g. Aerospace and High-end motorsport
• To deliver agreed R&D projects
• Involvement in Product Launch and related marketing activities
• To communicate the results of R&D projects through appropriate formats to a variety of audiences
• To support the Product Development team as required in line with the R&D roadmap.
• To assist with the creation of the company’s Product Development objectives
• To provide technical support internally & externally as required.
• To participate in regular review meetings with team members
• Participate in training sessions to enhance team knowledge on new technologies and methodologies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to technology implementation.
Requirements
• Degree level qualification materials science / chemistry
• Industry experience
• Proven ability to develop resin formulations for prepreg applications
• Good presentation skills
• Knowledge of analytical techniques used for resin development.
• Project Management experience
• Microsoft Office competent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
