About the Position.
Support the National Compliance Manager, responsible for BMW Canada’s Privacy Compliance program and our Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) Compliance program. This internship will require a strong candidate who has exceptional organizational skills and the ability to take support projects by maintaining and managing the overall coordination of compliance projects. This internship would be best suited for a candidate that has strong compliance exposure although this is not a requirement. The candidate should be interested in increasing their compliance awareness in relation to privacy and CASL.
Key Accountabilities.
- To maintain and enhance the Privacy and CASL Compliance programs
- To oversee our Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) program
- To manage and update the Compliance pages for the Associate Infonet
- To manage and update the compliance training plate for ongoing managing and monitoring of employee compliance training
- To test and monitor the internal and external channels of communication in accordance with the Privacy and CASL Compliance programs
- To support the National Compliance Manager with tracking and managing all Privacy Impact Assessments
- To administratively support the National Compliance Manager
- To prepare presentations and reports for monthly status update meetings with the Executives
- To support the Policy Management Framework with maintaining and updating Policies and Instructions
Qualifications.
- Completed a post-secondary degree or diploma with a focus on business
- Well-developed oral and written communications skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
