Purpose of the job:
The purpose of the role is to support the Goods Out Department, by assisting with the following; packaging final components, picking parts for upcoming deliveries, topping up packaging supplies, keeping work spaces clean and tidy, despatching finished goods, raising orders for external paint operations, booking in of received items. The role is also responsible for any driving duties required e.g. to our other site and to any customers
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering and collecting parts and/or products between sites.
Delivering and collecting parts and/or products to and from suppliers.
Assisting with delivery of the scheduled parts to the customer in full and on time when the parts are available.
Managing your workload ensuring all tasks are completed on time, correctly to company/customer policy/procedures in an efficient manner
Working with the team on a day to day ensuring any delays highlighted to management and a plan is put in place with the team to catch up/cover off any delays, causing issues are rectified ASAP and a prevention plan/action is put in place
Ensure equipment is well checked, maintained and serviced according to the company policy, any issues to be rectified immediately and escalated as required
Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
Assist with managing the stock of packing and consumable items relevant to goods in/out.
Ensure correct receipt and booking in of all supplied goods.
Ensure that any resource/material shortage is reported to the production manager
Quality and Standards
Responsible for ensuring all work is completed to the correct quality standard (both the customer and companies) at all times.
SKILLS:
UK driver’s license.
Valid forklift License.
Can follow verbal and written instructions.
Excellent process adherence.
