Position Overview:
Riley Technologies is seeking a talented and motivated Design Engineer to join our team developing and supporting our manufacturing department in building modern race vehicles to historic restorations.
We are looking for an employee with working knowledge of Siemens NX, Solid Works, or a similar 3D CAD package. You will produce detailed CAD models and engineering drawings to a high standard for CNC machining, water/laser cutting, and fabrication as well as deliver engineering solutions to problems associated with car design.
In conjunction with design responsibilities, you will also be required to assist the department managers and others as required. You will need to be a self-starter, have a good attitude and enjoy working in a team environment.
The position is predominantly shop based in Mooresville NC, but you may be required to travel to some test and race events.

Responsibilities:
Generate 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings including defining and documenting manufacturing information.
Produce detailed engineering drawings to a high standard.
Support car build and production with information to aid in manufacturing, building, and assembly.
Collaborate closely with internal and external manufacturing departments to ensure accurate and timely manufacturing of components can occur.
Create a bill of materials information.
Qualifications / Experience:
Experience using 3D CAD systems - Siemens NX would be preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering, or another relevant degree or practical work experience.
5 Years’ experience in a Motorsports, Military, or Automotive environment is required.
Previous manufacturing experience is required.
Demonstrate experience in previous design work.
Strong understanding of automotive or motorsport mechanical systems.
Possess a strong, but diverse, problem-solving skillset.
Fluent in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite. Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
FEA and CFD software experience would be advantageous.
