We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our legal team, providing critical support in the drafting, negotiation, and management of a wide variety of commercial contracts. The ideal candidate will have a solid legal background and experience working in a fast-paced environment, ideally with exposure to the motorsport, automotive or engineering sectors. This role is essential to ensure legal and regulatory compliance while protecting the company’s interests across various business functions.

As a Contracts Manager you will:
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts, including supply of goods and services, SaaS agreements, consultancy contracts, nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), and more.
Ensure compliance with UK, EU, and international regulations, including the legal frameworks governing the motorsport and automotive industries.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, finance, and technical departments) to ensure contracts meet both legal and operational requirements.
Manage the full contract lifecycle, from initial drafting through execution, amendments, renewals, and termination.
Develop and implement best practices for contract templates and playbooks, ensuring these remain up-to-date with changes in law and business needs.
Provide advice on contractual obligations, liabilities, and rights to ensure that all risks are appropriately managed.
Maintain accurate contract records in the document management system, ensuring timely updates and document accuracy.
Conduct legal research to ensure contracts and legal documentation are aligned with the latest regulatory developments and best practices.
Provide training to internal teams (e.g., procurement, sales) on contract management processes, legal obligations, and risk mitigation strategies.
Support the legal team in contract-related dispute resolution, advising on appropriate strategies to mitigate legal and business risks.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or Business, or relevant contract management certification (e.g., IACCM, CIPS).
3+ years of experience in contract management, with a focus on commercial contracts.
Strong knowledge of UK and EU contract law, with an ability to apply this in a commercial setting.
Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with data protection law, technology, intellectual property rights, and supply chain management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess contract risks and propose creative solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple contracts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
