Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Shape the future: You support the development and testing of bare-metal C drivers for Graphics IP on Infineon Traveo Cluster MCUs
- Take responsibility: You assist with debugging software directly on hardware platforms and help identify and resolve technical issues
- Keep track of everything: You execute test cases, document results, and ensure transparent tracking of development activities
- Experience project management: You support automation activities, CI/CD processes, and the development of Python-based tooling solutions
- Work Reliably: You perform laboratory activities such as flashing devices, conducting measurements, setting up evaluation boards, and carrying out simple soldering, rework, and hardware modifications following training and safety guidelines
- Focus on the future: You explore modern technologies such as Rust, Zephyr/RTOS, and AI-powered development tools and summarize your findings for the team
- Teamwork Is Dreamwork: You collaborate with an international and multicultural team to contribute to innovative embedded software solutions
- Keep your colleagues informed: You share test outcomes, technical findings, and lessons learned with relevant stakeholders
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Study Field: You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field
- Skills: You have a solid foundation in C programming and a strong interest in embedded and low-level software development
- Nice-to-Have Skills: Ideally, you have experience with Python, CI/CD concepts, Rust, Zephyr/RTOS, soldering, or hardware bring-up activities
- (Work) experience: You have basic knowledge of microcontroller debugging and are familiar with development tools such as Git and Visual Studio Code
- Interests: You are interested in embedded systems, hardware-software interaction, and modern software development methodologies
- Work Style: You enjoy working in a hands-on laboratory environment and approach tasks in a structured, reliable, and proactive manner
- Personality: You are a team-oriented individual who enjoys working in a multicultural environment and collaborating with others to solve technical challenges
- Availability: You are available to support the team for approximately 20 hours per week during your studies
- Language Skills: You have good written and spoken English communication skills; German is a plus

Important information:
- Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
- Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
- You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
