Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Take responsibility: Functional operation, optimization and further development of the state-of-the-art MEMS characterization setups, stress-test equipment and precision instruments
- Keep the overview: Execution of electrical, mechanical and/or dynamic measurements on MEMS devices
- Reliable work: Interface of laboratory equipment with controlling software
- Experience research: Post-processing and documentation of experimental results using available frameworks
- Data is everything: Analysis and interpretation of acquired data
- Expand your horizons: Exploring new ideas and innovative approaches of advance MEMS testing to enhance quality and reliability of MEMS technologies
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Study Field: Are currently studying Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Engineering or a related field of study
- Experience: Have gained hands-on lab experience in a research or technology chair, R&D department, or through study and course projects; Ideally have understanding about MEMS devices and/or have experience with laboratory equipment
- Personality: Are passionate about tackling multidisciplinary challenges that involve electronics, mechanics, measurements, analysis
- Skills: Are familiar with programming languages such as Matlab and Python, or willing to learn new tools; Knowledge of NI-PXI system is a plus but not mandatory
- Way of working: Show a systematic and self-driven working style, oriented on problem solving; Are willing to learn and enjoy working in a team
- Language skills: Have good English skills in speaking and writing

Important information:
Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
