Senior Program Manager, Dealer and Channel Operations IT PMO
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Global Technical Center in Warren (MI) or Austin Innovation Center in Austin (TX) three times per week, at minimum. This position can be located at either of these 2 locations.
The Role
Our Dealer and Channel Operations Organization (IT PMO) is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional programs that directly impact vehicle quality and launch readiness. This position requires a strong background in software delivery, enterprise-scale execution, and the ability to bring clarity and alignment across engineering, product, design, and quality teams. You’ll operate at the center of GM’s transformation, working closely with executive stakeholders to drive accountability, delivery excellence, and innovation.

What You'll Do

Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact programs across the Dealer and Channel Operations Organization.

Define scope, timelines, and resource plans aligned with business or technology goals.

Identify risks and interdependencies and lead mitigation strategies.

Communicate program status and insights to executive leadership using storytelling and metrics.

Facilitate inclusive, action-oriented meetings with clear documentation and follow-through.

Influence cross-functional teams to drive alignment and execution.

Lead change management efforts and foster adaptability across teams.

Apply Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies where appropriate.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

5+ years of software project/program management experience.

Proven success leading cross-functional programs with technical and non-technical teams.

Strong command of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive results.

Experience navigating ambiguity and leading through change.

Comfortable working across time zones and diverse teams.
What will give you a competitive edge (Preferred Qualifications)

PMP Certification.

Experience with Jira, Confluence, Slack, or similar tools.

Familiarity with GM’s Dealer and Channel Operations systems.
