The Senior Engineer, Equipment (Test Handler) is responsible for maintaining and optimizing a group of final test equipment within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role focuses on driving equipment performance, improving uptime and efficiency, and leading maintenance, cost, quality, and yield improvement initiatives.
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Responsible and maintain a group of Final Test Equipment
- Drive & improve equipment uptime performance to achieve target equipment efficiency
- Drive & implement maintenance cost, quality & yield improvement project
- Preventive and predictive maintenance improvement program to maintain equipment stability
- Equipment spare part management
- Impart equipment knowledge and skill to shopfloor maintenance team
- Troubleshoot and resolve major breakdown equipment
- Expert in the following areas:
- Equipment/Handler Change kit conversion
- Handler critical parameter control (e.g. mechanical alignment, pressure, motor)
- Jam statistics analysis
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Degree in Mechatronic/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering.
- Min. 5 years of experience in Final Test equipment in semiconductor industry.
- Experience in Tri temp IC Test Handler E.g. JHT Exceed-9xxx Pro, Cohu Delta Matrix or Advantest M48xx series is preferred.
- Strong knowledge in applying problem-solving and analysis tools, e.g.,8D, 5 Whys, QC tool.
- Technically sound and strong; desire to build up technical competency.
- Lead to recommend design changes to improve equipment performance.
- Passionate in problem solving and drive multiple team members on PSDM.
- Project management and proactive communicators provide timely updates to various stakeholders.
