What you'll do
As a Software Engineer, you will be a hands-on contributor to the development, implementation, and modernization of our variable marketing incentive systems. You will play a key role in building a complex microservices ecosystem based on MACH architecture principles, focusing on high-quality code, robust solutions, and modern software engineering practices.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE/Spring framework/Spring boot
- Actively participate in modernizing variable marketing incentive products and experiences to significantly improve Ford’s current capabilities and ensure these platforms can grow to meet increasing demands
- Contribute to the design, development, and evolution of one or more modules (Microservices) within the variable marketing incentive products
- Design, build, and implement Proofs of Concept (POCs) using cutting-edge technologies, and contribute to constructing, deploying highly scalable and robust cloud-based intelligent solutions
- Implement and maintain backend Spring Boot microservices on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring adherence to API design specifications
- Apply modern software engineering practices (i.e., TDD, BDD, CI/CD, Shift left, 12-factor applications, etc.) in daily development
- Collaborate with other development teams and architects to ensure seamless integration with existing Ford software products and external cloud-based services
What you need
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s or Equivalent
- Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE/Spring framework/Spring boot
