What you'll do
You will undertake 2D-layouts, calculations, 3D design and development and design of sub-assemblies. The roles may also include definition of rig tests. Working closely as part of a team of designers, you will be in charge of producing designs (including the respective tooling) and drawings as well as providing full documentation in English. An essential part of the functions is to ensure on-time delivery of projects within agreed cost limits.
- be a specialist and take the responsibility for motorsport projects e.g.: suspension design and development suspensions kinematic layout suspension calculation and validation manufacturing processes of suspension members welded assemblies ADM additive manufacturing and design including the tools required for design of ADM parts
- be responsible for conceptual and detail design of race suspensions undertake suspensions kinematic layouts, calculation and validation of suspensions be in charge of producing designs (including the respective tooling) and drawings as well as providing full documentation in English ensure on-time delivery of projects within agreed cost limits
What you need
- have a degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or equivalent
- have very good design skills in conjunction with good knowledge of state-of-the-art technology and materials display high level knowledge and relevant experience in motorsport parts layout and the design of high performance components in the area of e.g. F1, WEC, WRC or DTM, GT3, GT4
- be proficient with CATIA V5: solids, surfaces & drafting, FEM and the classical calculation methods, data management systems (Teamcenter) and MS Office
