Job Purpose
The Enterprise Social Media Department is seeking a Social Media Senior Strategist to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive social marketing strategy. This position works closely with the Acura and Honda brands, other internal departments, and external partners to increase brand desire, support creative and digital efforts, and ultimately support sales.
Key Accountabilities
Content Strategy
• Serve as a company social media expert and advocate while maintaining a current understanding of best practices, features, strategies, and tactics for all existing and emerging platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Threads, Facebook, and X
• Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy to achieve brand objectives, increase online presence, and increase web traffic
• Editorialize the brand through the lens of brand desire, marketing objectives, and pop culture to ensure relevance for target audiences
• Partner with marketing, PR, sales, and product planning teams on integrated plans from ideation to execution
• Supervise production shoots and event coverage
Vendor Management
• Identify and evaluate potential social media vendors and select suitable partners
• Negotiate terms, agreements, and service expectations to align with organizational goals
• Define and communicate key performance indicators and expected outcomes
• Onboard vendors and ensure understanding of brand, culture, and guidelines
• Manage vendor budgets and track expenses
• Foster collaborative vendor relationships to support long term partnerships
• Assess vendor performance and determine contract renewals or changes
• Resolve disputes or issues in a professional and timely manner
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications
• BA or BS in marketing, communications, or related field
Minimum Experience
• Five or more years in communications, marketing, or social media management
• Advanced knowledge of social platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
• Advanced understanding of automotive and motorsports industries
Other Job Specific Skills
• Proficiency in paid, owned, and earned social media
• Experience mitigating or resolving brand risk and crises
• Strong communication skills and cross functional collaboration abilities
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and risk assessment skills
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and digital trends
• Strong project management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Creative thinker with strong design sensibility
• Ability to analyze data and extract insights to improve social media performance
• Passion for vehicles
Working Conditions
• Seventy five percent office based work including laptop, meetings, and calls
• Twenty five percent on set content production, event support, and travel
• Occasional night or weekend hours with overtime available
• Location: Torrance, California
