Job Purpose
This role at Honda is in the B2C and Marketing Technology Unit within the IT Dept. Your goal will be to provide seamless, sustainable, and innovative solutions that exceed expectations and drive trust and satisfaction with the Honda and Acura brands.
We are seeking to fill a Tech Lead role responsible for leading the engineering teams, collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, engineering), developing technical solutions, and driving innovation to support marketing goals and enhance customer experiences. This role requires a strong understanding of MarTech platforms like CRMs, CMS (Content Management System) and analytics tools, as well as experience in Agile methodologies and consumer facing websites.
Key Accountabilities
Implement best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes to maintain a robust tech stack.
Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and align cross-functional teams.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and anticipate future challenges.
Proficient in creating structured reports and presentations, translating technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations
Effective collaborator across marketing, data, and technology teams, aligning stakeholders around shared goals and execution plans
Communicate effectively with architect groups to ensure technical solutions support business objectives.
Decompose complex solutions into manageable components, detailing roles and responsibilities for each part.
Collaborate with architects to design components that align with business goals and technical feasibility.
Employ analytical and attribution tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics) to measure and optimize campaign performance.
Utilize scaled Agile methodologies to manage and deliver programs efficiently.
Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor programs' technical performance and provide reports for senior management.
Ensure that all programs adhere to quality standards and best practices through effective quality control.
Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions.
Ensure the resolution of incidents and management of problems that impact the delivery.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum Experience
5 or more years of experience in marketing technology architecture and engineering.
Strong Technical Skills: experience with software development, database queries (SQL), creating design and architectural documents.
Prior demonstrable experience in full lifecycle software projects at large enterprises, covering activities, e.g. – architecture review, licensing, executive phase gates
Proven experience as a delivery/implementation lead, leading development teams in designing and delivering B2C and MarTech solutions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to drive alignment and collaboration across diverse teams.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address gaps in solutions.
Strong understanding and experience in SDLC in both Waterfall and Scaled Agile (e.g. - SAFe) delivery models.
Understanding of Quality, Incident Management, Problem Management.
Basic familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence.
Must be proficient with PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel

Strong understanding of one or more of the following:

CDPs (Treasure Data, Segment, etc.)

The incumbent will be required to work in our corporate office at Torrance, CA, at least 4 days per workweek. 1 remote workday a week may be possible with prior departmental approval
