This program offers a variety of specialized career paths tailored to your interests and skills, allowing you to gain hands-on experience and work alongside industry experts: Analog Design & Modeling: design and simulate analog circuits, implement physical layouts, create virtual models for analog blocks, and develop architectural concepts at a system level Digital Design and Verification: design digital circuits using hardware description languages, implement layouts, run simulations, and verify functionality with advanced methodologies SoC Test, Verification & Measurements: develop test routines for production, validate product characteristics through detailed measurements, and conduct extensive characterization in the laboratory Software/Firmware: develop embedded firmware for integrated circuits, design microcontroller or DSP software, and create graphical user interfaces while ensuring quality through various types of testing Education: Currently enrolled in the 3rd year of studies in engineering, electronics, computer science, robotics, or a similar field Working style: A proactive, creative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow as part of a professional engineering team Languages: Good command of English (written and spoken) Depending on your preferred career path, the following skills and areas of expertise will help you stand out: For Analog Design & Modeling: Background: Knowledge of electronics fundamentals, analog integrated circuits, and electrotechnics Skills: Familiarity with analog tools (e.g., Orcad, Cadence, Simetrix, Pspice, or similar simulation tools) and understanding of PCB layouts or silicon-based analog layouts Focus: creating and simulating models of electronics systems and circuits For Digital Design and Verification: Background: Understanding of digital integrated circuits, microprocessor architectures, data structures, and algorithms Skills: Hands-on experience or theoretical knowledge of HDLs (VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog) and simulation tools (e.g., Modelsim, Questasim) Focus: developing digital systems and verification For SoC Test, Verification & Measurements: Background: Knowledge of measurement techniques and hands-on skills in using lab equipment like oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, voltage sources, and function generators Skills: PCB design knowledge using tools such as Orcad, Eagle, or Altium Focus: automated measurement tools like LabVIEW is a plus For Software/Firmware: Background: Strong skills in object-oriented programming, microcontrollers, data structures, algorithms, and signals and systems Skills: A mix of software-oriented thinking with a strong foundation in hardware concepts, particularly microcontroller peripherals Focus: developing firmware and embedded solutions We are on a journey to create the best Infineon for everyone.
