As the Social Media Officer, you will be pivotal to communicating the FIA’s mission and story to a global audience. You will provide essential support to the wider Communications team, creating high-impact, multi-channel content across Corporate, Mobility, and Presidential communications.
You will report to the Director of Corporate Communications and work cross-functionally with the FIA President’s Office and the Sport and Mobility teams.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CONTENT STRATEGY & EXECUTION:
- Develop and execute content and social media strategies that align with the FIA’s corporate communications priorities.
- Own the corporate, Presidential, and mobility content calendars, overseeing planning and delivery across social media channels.
- Create compelling, audience-focused content tailored to different platforms, using creative tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Collaborate with the different pillars of the Communications department and our agency partners to ensure consistency in messaging and tone of voice.
- Support live coverage of key global institutional and sports events.
PERFORMANCE, MONITORING & COLLABORATION:
- Monitor and analyze social media performance data, providing regular insight reports to optimize reach and engagement.
- Use tools such as Meltwater to track global media coverage of the FIA and broader industry trends.
- Ensure brand integrity and reputation management in all social media activity.
- Stay up to date with social media trends and platform developments to drive innovation.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines.
PROFILE:
- A university degree, ideally in Humanities or another relevant discipline.
- At least two years of experience in a social media or digital content role.
- An understanding of mobility and motorsport is desirable but not essential.
- Full proficiency with major social platforms and creative/analytical tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, Monday.com).
- Fluent English is required, with a very high standard of both written and spoken communication. Additional languages are a plus.
- A highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive team player with a global mindset, capable of managing multiple content streams simultaneously.
This role will be based in the recently opened office in the iconic location of Knightsbridge, London. There are around 40 FIA employees in the UK (most of whom are based in London), which is a growing hub for the Federation. Some international travel will be required.
The role will sometimes require working out of hours, including weekends.
