Job Purpose
The SCM Site Delivery Frame Local Group Leader is responsible for coordinating daily activities with his/her respective buyers and technical lead support (EX1 – EX4 / Career Levels L3 – L5) to ensure Key Performance Indicators are met by mitigating risk of Downtime, GDP, and Cost from our North American supply base. The Group Leader is also responsible for implementing business plan themes/strategies developed by SC Delivery Department leadership and SCM Business Unit leadership as well as site Delivery budgets.
Key Accountabilities
Support Site Delivery Frame Unit Leaders/buyers in troubleshooting supplier and/or site-specific issues
In supporting Local Unit Leader/Regional Unit Leader, lead the execution of Business Plan Themes/Strategies, Budget, Key Performance Indicators
Lead/maintain critical projects, Business Plan Themes, and other initiatives, present/escalate when necessary
Benchmark with other HDMA Frame Sites to identify and apply cost saving opportunities
Engage associates w/in specific site or other HDMA Frame sites to develop & implement system enhancements (Commonization, OWBW, etc) and supplier improvement items
Lead associate development activities (train, advise, mentor) of assigned buyers
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Business Management
Average Experience :
8+ years relevant experience
Other Job-Specific Skills:
Provides necessary direction, support, and identifies/develops training for team members to perform their responsibilities
Accurately interprets direction from leadership; clearly communicates and conveys technical, business or policy information appropriately across multiple levels within a unit or group of operation

Job Dimensions
No. of Direct Reports: 5 – 10 buyers
No. of Indirect Reports: 5 – 10 buyers on other Group Leader’s team (if applicable)
Financial Dimensions: Negotiate compensation requests and design changes between supplier and Honda to mitigate financial risk to Honda while ensuring the timely implementation of changepoint. Support the control of overtime and freight, and design change budgets to meet Ki targets.
Decisions Expected
Provide tactical and/or strategic guidance to buyers & leadership related to supplier issues, business plan items, and/or internal department issues
Strategic direction related to Business Plan and One Way Best Way items
Support Buyer performance ratings, succession planning, etc…through collaboration w/ Local Unit Leader
Site Delivery Frame local policies and procedures related to SEQDCM
Support Monthly/Ki Key Performance Indicator targets related to operations and budg
Takes action to build effective working relationships between individuals from different cultures, backgrounds, viewpoints & experiences

Working Conditions
Must be able to work overtime approximately 5-10 hours per week.
Work in a fast paced environment with demanding and critical deadlines.
Traveling between Sites, Business Units, and/or suppliers
Must be able to work weekends or into 2nd shift hours to support critical business needs (internal and/or external)
