Job Purpose:
The Equipment Production Manager is responsible for the daily shift operations of the production equipment group within the department, overseeing the groups technical training, assessment and development, managing New Model equipment programming activities, support equipment design and install activities to ensure spec and design requirements are achieved and interfacing with/reporting and concerns to the Departments Production Equipment Manager.
Accountabilities:
Manage internal/external request to allow the production equipment team to focus on core responsibilities and avoid distractions
Continuous development of self, colleagues and team through training and mentoring to proactively maintain a highly skilled technical team of experts for personal & team growth
Evaluate and ensure management of critical production issues for allocation of resources and appropriate action is taken in a timely manner during their shift
Evaluate and assess day-today production equipment related concerns identified by the team to help or guide them to address or correct and resolves issues utilizing high speed PDCA
Lead and actively participates in Equipment groups initiatives such as BP, FSI, Mozo-Z to gain or share knowledge, promote continuous improvement and foster engagement for the shift
Monitor daily SEQDCM conditions for the shift by reviewing daily reports to manage department outflow (reports, contain, repair)
Develop new ideas/methods to continuously improve efficiency & characteristics
Kronos management
Routinely audit the team to ensure compliance with department guidelines /policies/ procedures to ensure expectations are met
Qualifications
Education Required:
An undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.
Experience
2 to 5 years based on education.
Skills Desired
Knowledge of department systems & equipment
Understand available resources both internal to the department as well as external
Nonconforming procedure - Knowledge of QMS
Business Plan knowledge
Dealing with conflict and empowerment to escalate
Crisis management within shift or responsibility
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as lead a team
Demonstrated ability to respond immediately to production floor needs and
requirements pertaining to equipment
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Demonstrated knowledge of the SEQCDM guidelines/requirements within area of responsibility
Robot teaching / Pedant Capability
Equipment build knowledge
Equipment recovery procedures
Project Management
Developing & reporting delivery metrics
Cost reporting

Requirements
Other working Conditions
May have to work 2nd and 3rd shifts 20% of the time. 2nd shift starts at 3:30 pm; 3rd shift starts at 10:30 pm
May require standing for long durations of time
Able to work in a fast-paced production area
Able to work in an environment with varying temperatures
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
0-10% travel requirement for training and offsite support as needed
Daily, weekly, weekend and shutdown OT support. 5-15 hours of OT per week.
Ability to perform production line work and work online as needed
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Ability to work on computer for long hours
