What you could expect as a Technical Field Sales Representative:
- Participate in development of go to market strategy to increase ZF technology installed by Trailer builders and deliver on sales targets (# EBS sold, conversion of ABS to EBS)
- Establish, build and maintain relationship with Trailer builder to address their customer (current and new fleets). Including in surrounding sub Saharan countries
- Consult and support trailer sales team with technical application knowledge
- Drive intelligent trailer program features and functions penetration, incl. marketing ZF products, sales and value proposition
- Provide external product training to trailer builder and its customers
- Anticipation of market trends
- Influence fleet specification of Trailer systems with ZF being a preferred supplier
- Maintain and keep high technical knowledge of ZF CV product range
- Upon customers request provide vehicle “health checks” to optimize trailer performance
- Support customers in finding solutions for their technical issues
- Participate in fleet events and promote ZF products and solutions
- Cooperate with aftermarket field sales as appropriate
What we expect from you as a Technical Field Sales Representative:
- A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or a related technical field)
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, ideally within the commercial vehicle or automotive sector
- Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset and customer-first approach
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships
- Results-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets
- Flexible and adaptable in working hours and travel schedules
- Proven ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional settings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general digital tools
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel as needed
