We are seeking a highly driven, commercially astute, and technically proficient Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to play a pivotal role in shaping McLaren Racing's financial future. This is a unique opportunity to lead the strategic financial planning function for one of the most iconic brands in global sport, directly influencing critical decisions that impact our performance both on and off the track.
As Senior Manager FP&A, you will be the linchpin between financial data and strategic insight, providing the executive leadership team with the analysis and foresight needed to achieve our ambitious objectives. You will lead a small, high-performing team and be instrumental in embedding a robust, forward-looking financial culture across the organisation.
Principle Accountabilities
Strategic Financial Planning & Forecasting:
Lead and own the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting processes for McLaren Racing, encompassing the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and strategic alignment with long-term plans.
Drive dynamic scenario planning and modelling to assess potential outcomes, identify risks and opportunities, and support agile decision-making in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Success pivoting around predictability in scenarios and the actions we take.
Partner closely with Finance Business Partners across all operational areas (e.g., engineering, commercial, marketing, operations) to consolidate business intelligence, challenge assumptions, and integrate operational insights into financial projections.
Performance Reporting & Commercial Insight:
Develop and deliver high-impact financial reports and presentations for the CFO, Executive Team, and Shareholders, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for strategic decision-making and performance evaluation.
Conduct rigorous competitive benchmarking and market trend analysis within the sports and entertainment industry to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost efficiencies, and strategic positioning.
Provide comprehensive oversight and analysis of key business cycles, including capital expenditure planning, tracking, and reporting, ensuring clear visibility of project spend and available funds.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
Identify, champion, and implement enhancements to FP&A processes, systems, and methodologies to significantly improve the accuracy, efficiency, and completeness of financial forecasting and reporting.
Govern the effective use of forecasting tools and systems (e.g., Power BI, ERP systems) to extract maximum insight, ensure data integrity, and support robust budgeting controls.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and excellence.
Promote exceptional cross-functional collaboration with procurement, project managers, technical, commercial, and operational teams, to lead the sharing of information flow and fostering a positive, progressive working environment.
Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function, encouraging feedback, innovation, and agile ways of working.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.

The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.
