Tasks
The "Driving System Validation" department is responsible for the planning and implementation of all verification and validation activities for the driving system, consisting of the driveline and chassis components. We are responsible for the work preparation and test specimen setup for all test benches in the driving system. Furthermore, we are responsible for the execution of tests, including the setup and operation of chassis test benches, as well as driveline and composite test benches.
Within our department, you have the opportunity to gain practical experience in the following areas: design, full-vehicle testing, chassis test bench testing, powertrain test bench testing, driving system simulation, and ride comfort. Depending on the focus of your studies, you will support one of the described areas, for example, in the following projects and activities:
Design
Basic calculation tasks
Component design and construction
Drawing preparation and documentation
Full-vehicle testing, chassis test bench testing, powertrain test bench testing
Support in conducting test runs and their evaluation.

Assistance in supporting the testing of vehicle components in real or semi-virtual test environments.
Collaboration in investment projects, such as new test benches.
Support in optimizing test procedures and processes.
Driving system simulation.
Support in setting up simulation models, performing simulation tasks, and evaluating and documenting simulation results.
Collaboration in the development of simulation methods and evaluation methods.
Assistance in coordinating and conducting tests on the entire vehicle and vehicle components in the test facility and on the road.
Analysis and documentation of test results.
Driving comfort.
Support in supporting vibration and acoustic measurement technology.
Collaboration in coordinating and conducting tests on the entire vehicle and vehicle components in the test facility and on the road.
Collaboration in the coordination and implementation of model setups as well as vibration and acoustic investigations on various digital prototypes using current FEM and MBS software tools.
