In addition to continuing to meet high performance and efficiency standards, we also want to transfer the weight optimization that is important for sports cars to electromobility and meet Porsche's ambitious sustainability goals in vehicle development.
During your internship, you will gain comprehensive insights into the Porsche working environment and support us with current projects and activities. The focus of your internship will be on one of the following three topics (1. Sustainability, 2. Weight Management, or 3. Lightweight Construction). Please indicate in your cover letter which topics you are interested in.
Sustainability, Weight, and Lightweight Construction
This department is responsible for the properties of weight and sustainability throughout the entire product development process and life cycle. For this purpose, overall vehicle goals are defined, and measures to resolve conflicting objectives are developed and tracked.
Sustainability: Participation in the definition and achievement of vehicle-specific decarbonization and recyclate targets, as well as research into sustainability potential within the supply chain throughout the entire development process.
... Weight management: Support in the creation of weight forecasts from the concept phase through series development, conducting vehicle and component weighing of prototypes and pre-production vehicles, and establishing weight benchmarks in a competitive environment.
Lightweight construction: Support in the development of conceptual and innovative lightweight construction approaches, including design and calculation, and support in the preparation and implementation of lightweight construction workshops.
