Tasks
In the "Connect and Infotainment System" area, in addition to the infotainment, navigation, and Connect services, the display and control systems, as well as the sound systems, are developed. The scope of development extends from the hardware and software for the vehicle's computer systems along the entire end-to-end chain, to the servers in the backend systems and the analysis of data using data analytics and AI, to the integration of the My Porsche smartphone app and the web front ends.
During your internship, you will gain comprehensive insights into the Porsche working world and, depending on your interests, support us in one of the four specialist areas described below, for example, in the following projects and
Activities:
Infotainment & Navigation
Support in function development (from conception to validation), e.g. E.g., in the following infotainment topics:
• Android infotainment apps in the vehicle
• Digital assistant and AI
• Media streaming and cloud gaming
• Camera-based functions
• Drive apps
User interaction (display and operation)
• Participation in the development and further development of display/operating concepts for future vehicles, particularly in the detailed specification of user flows and screen layouts
• Assistance with implementation reviews
• Support of sub-projects in specification development
• Support in empirical user studies using various research methods (e.g., observation, interviews, workshops)
• Conducting benchmark analyses
Vehicle functions & components
• Support in Connect ECU development (coding & flashing)
• Implementation of a concept for the stand-alone commissioning of individual Connect ECUs
• Development of an automation pipeline for the fully automated commissioning of Connect ECUs
• Construction of a prototype for the parallel, fully automated commissioning of multiple components for use in the development and possibly production environment
