The Role
As a hands-on Senior Communications System Engineer you will take accountability for the end-to-end Systems Engineering lifecycle including (live) operational support of complex bids, proposals and customer projects (for example, passenger WiFi).
This will involve technical leadership from requirements management, planning, design and deployment through to test, commissioning and support.
You will be a key contributor to the product roadmap including product architecture, tools, and suggest future market requirements. You will be the customers’ single point of contact for specific technical work packages.
You will take responsibility for the proactive and reactive support/maintenance of deployments within Europe, ensuring they are consistent and repeatable as the products continue to evolve.
You will engage in ITIL v4 Incident/Problem/Change Management to restore normal service, comply with applicable SLAs while triggering product improvements, fixes and new features.
Continuous improvement and knowledge management is at the core of this role. You will be expected to advocate for architectural change and repeatable documented working practices. You will mentor and train other Engineers where required.
As part of the Systems Engineering community, you will champion good practice, rigour and cross-functional engagement with both Engineering and non-Engineering stakeholders.
