Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. Opening in 2026, COTA’s amusement park is a 20-acre theme park featuring two first of their kind Roller Coasters and over three dozen rides.
Job Description:
Under the direction of the Vice President of Commercial Partnerships, the Director of Sponsorship Sales will lead strategy and outreach to bring in new brand partnerships for the upcoming COTALAND theme park, MotoGP, Germania Amphitheater concerts, and community events property-wide. With a big focus on outbound prospecting, the ideal candidate will have experience in front of brands across a variety of industries and hit the ground to create customized assets and experiences based around evolving brand objectives. This will cover a unique part of the property with a ton of room for partnership growth, giving this role a wide range of assets to work through, both on the B2B & B2C side of our business. The Vice President of Commercial Partnerships will work to create different assets and pricing for specific needed categories, and help the candidate to dive into outbound prospecting and relationship building. This position involves critical assignments to ensure partnership elements are executed as planned and strategic programs are presented in a professional and productive manner. This is a full-time, on-site role at COTA
Requirements
Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Researching new brands/categories within the theme park, sports and entertainment space, with the objective of outbound prospecting to the appropriate decision makers at a variety of companies in specific industries
- Collaborating with internal teams to build new customized assets for client discussions, focusing on how to overdeliver on expectations and build long-lasting relationships
- Oversee existing and new client contracts, ensuring that deal points are overcommunicated internally during all aspects of the partnership for fulfillment purposes
- Working directly with the client services team, making sure they are supported from the sales side while fulfilling all partner brand needs
- Delivering and activating contractual sponsor elements including media, signage, promotions, tickets, suites and hospitality
- Assist with sponsorship activation elements at COTALAND, MotoGP, concerts and community events
- Communicate with partners regularly to ensure exceptional customer service

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 5 years of sports/theme park/entertainment sponsorship sales experience
- Experience with client meetings, building proposals & term sheets, and all aspects of the sponsorship sales cycle
