Circuit of the Americas is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player that knows how to balance networking and relationship building with the attention to detail that is required for successful execution of events. As a key part of our sponsorship team, this role assists with sponsor fulfillment and department organization. Sponsorship internship dates are August 11th, 2025-November 21st, 2025.

Dates of Internship:
Internships at COTA run in unison as University semesters:
- Fall Semester (August-December)
- Sponsorship internship dates are August 11th, 2025-November 21st, 2025.
Internship Work:
Work is scheduled weekly in coordination as university program requires. COTA requests:
- Hours/Week: 15 - 20hrs/week
- In-person/on-site work at COTA – Circuit of the Americas Campus, Austin, TX
Paid Internships at COTA:
- COTA partners with several universities throughout the state. We believe there should be opportunity options for individuals who are seeking internships to gain experience and understanding in our industry.
- Paid Internships are for college students that are looking to learn about COTA and gain work experience but do not have a class that requires an internship. This Internship can last up to a full semester per department.
Responsibilities:
- Learn about event production during F1 by supporting the coordination of F1 sponsorship activations and ensure that all sponsor deliverables are fulfilled before, during, and after events.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sponsorship communications, agreements, and deliverables.
- Provide on-site support during events like F1, including setup, sponsor coordination, and post-event evaluations.
- Collaborate with various internal departments, including marketing, events, and communications, to ensure seamless execution of sponsorship initiatives.
- Assist in gathering recap deliverables from F1 to share with COTA’s partners.
- Assist with ticketing and credential deliverables
- Design an F1 recap info graphic that highlights valuable KPIS
- Complete organizational tasks such as managing and organizing COTA sponsorship asset tracker and “Welcome Packets” for F1 sponsors.
- Participate in a semester long project and present to team at the end of the internship
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 days a week in office (15-20hrs/ week.) with a flexible schedule and ability to work weekends/evenings
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills are a must
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Positively represent COTA
- Required Event Dates: Scheduled COTA Events as needed
Physical Demand & Work Environments:
- Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
- Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events.
