Position Overview:
The Parts Room Attendant will be responsible for assisting in multiple functions relating to purchasing, stocking, distributing, shipping/receiving for both the manufacturing and race team portions of the company. The focus of the position will be to work closely with the Parts Team to ensure that purchased goods are accounted for, received in a timely manner, and distributed to the correct departments efficiently so racecar preparation and production are not hindered. This will be done through receiving parts from outside vendors and/or supplying in-stock items to the proper department. This position will be shop based with less than 10% travel expected.
Primary Responsibilities:
Become a qualified user of E2 Shop Management Software
Perform picking, staging, and kitting of items needed for manufacturing and sub-assembly jobs
Track the movement of in-stock items to ensure they are allocated to the correct location
Utilize company vehicle for local pick up and deliveries
Perform regular cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory
Assist with shipping and receiving
Deliver parts and raw materials to various departments
Prepare and process purchase orders under the direction of management
Process in-house components requiring outside services
Other duties as assigned by management
Professional Skills:
Strong communication skills both written and oral
Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Proficient understanding of or ability to train quickly in the use of inventory software
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Self-motivated
Flexible and creative
Work well within a team
Ability to multitask
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer aptitude
Ability to understand logical inventory flow
Drivers license in good standing
Mechanical aptitude a plus
