We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for procuring goods and services essential for our operations, ensuring that all purchases align with company objectives and budgetary constraints. This role requires strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics.
Duties
Procure materials, supplies, and services in a timely manner to support production planning and operational needs.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
Utilize ERP systems for tracking purchases, inventory management, and materials management.
Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
Negotiate prices with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Monitor market trends to identify potential supply chain risks and opportunities.
Coordinate logistics for the delivery of goods, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory status.
Qualifications
Experience in purchasing or procurement roles in manufacturing.
Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management principles.
Familiarity with Job Boss ERP system is desirable but not necessary
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.
Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and supplier performance metrics.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
